Our vision is to be a growing and loving international community glorifying God by bringing people together in the Lord Jesus Christ. As church we trust that it is the gospel of Christ that bears fruit saving and temporary us and impacting our world. Our mission is to preach Christ so that His people are saved, His people grow and His people are prepared for service. We don’t know much about who started the church and what their plans were. What we do know is that it began when a trivial group of Christians began meeting together in North Sydney. It began when people decided it was good thing to confront together here in Chatswood. Originally the beginning group of people met in a trivial wooden and tin roofed building. Over the years the buildings have changed as our needs have changed. These years were marked by a potent proclamation of the gospel. Hundreds of people would cease and collect on the streets for giant open air gospel meetings. People would especially arrive to hear Rev Mill preaches on the second future of Jesus. Mill, could be guaranteed to faithfully preach the Gospel. The beginning period of growth was marked by a potent proclamation of the gospel in the life of the church. The second meaningful period of growth came under a pastor who was also committed to teaching and preaching the gospel. During this time there was another important period of growth.Leigh Wedge was also a person who faithfully taught and preached the gospel of Jesus. It has been said that some preachers are pro claimers, but Leigh Wedge was a teacher who never failed to preach the Gospel. This church has grown in the preceding as people have been committed to preaching and teaching the gospel. This Church has a powerful evangelical heritage. We continue to have a powerful commitment to preaching the Word of God and proclaiming the gospel of Jesus. We still believe that it is through faith in Christ alone that people are saved and are committed to preaching this message. This commitment to Christ, the gospel and the Bible as the Word of God has not changed over the years. Christ died to pay the penalty for humanity's rebellion. God's Spirit works within a person so that they might turn back to God by believing in Jesus. God will raise all people to life to meet his judgment.
